Welcome to LeVel Components. My name is Scott Hansen and I make durable fixed gear bicycle hubs.  The emphasis on durable.  I started this as a concept and a hobby almost 5 years ago.  The concept had some kinks in the beginning but after many prototypes, long test rides on varied terrain and some good advice from Guru's in the field the outcome was well worth it.  It quickly turned into art for me.  My canvas became a block of metal.  Chipping away what was not a hub the goal.  The below picture is the CAD drawing that was used in the first prototype.  (I still have that hub and it still runs great).   Some details changed and/or were modified from this first version but the overall concepts and design goals never changed. Because this was a hobby first and later art, I have tried to stay true to that as much as possible and always treated it as such; art.  This means small batches and limited anodizing colors.  It was a major decision to just have the two, silver and black.  It also means not selling you anything.  Sure, it is for sale and anyone can buy it, just realize I am not here to push anything down your throat through fancy ads or sales pitches.  You either get the concept (art) or you don't.  If you get it, then you already know, and therefore, not really too much else to say.  There are some features that you may not know about though.  So, please read the Design and Tech Data pages thoroughly.  The subtle features are pointed out in various places.
